དུས་ - dus - སྐབས་ - skabs - temporal time and order
To start with, one of the most common constructs you will see, especially in practice texts, is དུས་གསུམ་ - the three times, which means past, current and future times - quite a vast occasion! For example, དུས་གསུམ་སངས་རྒྱས་རྣམས་ dus gsum sangs rgyas rnams is buddhas of the three times, which is used as a powerful dedication for Buddhas to cover all Buddhas that has been, exist just now, and will exist in future. But དུས་ is also used to mark an occasion, a time, or let's say a time stamp. And, དུས་ also means time, so the context is important.
སྐབས་ is similarly used to indicate an occasion, a section or part , as in:
Indeed it is through the practice of generosity that he will swiftly, at some point, meet the āryas.
གནས་སྐབས་ is another combination that means occasion or period, as in:
their occasions of well-being in body and mind ensue from culminative virtue.

སྟོན་པའི་དུས་སུ་ཉེ་གནས་ཀུན་དགའ་བོ། །
tönpé dü su nyené küngawo
During the Buddha's time, you were his attendant Ānanda;
དུས་ད་ལྟ་རང་དབང་ཡོད་པའི་དུས། །
dü danta rangwang yöpé dü
Now is the time when freedom is still ours,
སྐབས་སུ་ལས་སྔགས་འདི་ཡང་སྤེལ༔

གནས་སྐབས་སུ་ཡང་བསམ་པའི་དོན་ཀུན་འགྲུབ། །
nekab su yang sampé dön kün drub
In the meantime, may all my wishes be fulfilled!
དུས་གསུམ་དྲང་སྲོང་གྲུབ་པ་རིག་འཛིན་སོགས། །
dü sum drangsong drubpa rigdzin sok
Together with all you sages, siddhas and vidyādharas of the past, present and future—
།ཕྱི་མའི་དུས་སུ་ཐར་པ་ཐོབ།
And thereafter you will attain liberation.
དུས་སུ་མ་མཆོད་བསྙེན་སྒྲུབ་མ་ཚང་དང༌། །
dü su machö nyendrub matsang dang
I have failed to make offerings at the appropriate times, and have not completed the phases of approach and accomplishment,
ཕྱོགས་བཅུ་དུས་གསུམ་བཞུགས་པ་ཡི། །རྒྱལ་བ་སྲས་བཅས་ཐམས་ཅད་ལ། །
chok chu dü sum shyukpa yi,་gyalwa sé ché tamché la
And all the victors and their heirs, dwelling in all directions of the universe, through past, present and future,
གནས་སྐབས་མཐར་ཐུག་འཇིགས་པ་ཀུན་ལས་སྐྱོབས། །
nekab tartuk jikpa kün lé kyob
Temporarily and ultimately, protect us from all fears!
